Chlorine Injection Systems
for Private Well Water Systems
Although for most applications chlorine is not appropriate or desired, chlorine does have some advantages in extreme cases. One such case is in the treatment of extremely high hydrogen sulfide. Conner Water systems has successfully treated waters with hydrogen sulfide measuring as high as 100 mg/l. In such extreme cases, one of the only options available for effective treatment is a monitored and controlled injection of chlorine into a large storage tank. Due to the varying levels of hydrogen sulfide at these levels, the chlorine injection is controlled by a special chemical monitoring and control system referred to as an ORP monitor/controller. For those rural water systems classified as community water systems, chlorination is often mandated by the Environmental health department.
